Two National Grocery Chains Expanding Their Reach in Texas

With nearly 31 million residents, Texas is second only to California in US population. That’s a lot of mouths to feed. It’s no surprise that national grocery chains eye the Lone Star State when planning new locations. In recent announcements two major chains have indicated their intentions to expand their reach in the state.

  • Sprouts Farmers Market is coming to Georgetown, TX. The store, located at 4610 Williams Dr., Ste. 107, is scheduled to open next month on November 22.
  • Trader Joe’s will be opening a new store at 13550 University Blvd, in Sugar Land.
  • Trader Joe’s also has plans for a store at 120 S Denton Tap Rd, in Coppell.

There are no firm grand opening dates for either Trader Joe’s. The only indication on timing for the stores is this note from the announcements.

Our Crew is working hard so we can open our doors in 2024.
