An East Texas grand jury recently indicted a Lufkin man for fraud, and now Dallas FBI agents are looking for his victims, who may be eligible to get some restitution.
Using companies like Thrash Sports Management, the Pete Rose memorabilia store, or even Las Vegas pot dispensaries, Matthew Thrash was indicted for scamming investors. For the last 12 years, the FBI says Thrash presented as a successful investment advisor, or as a pro baseball player agent, collecting money from victims in several states.
Now, the FBI wants to find those victims as they prepare a case against the accused grifter. Victims may be eligible for certain services and restitution under federal and state laws.
