Three Texas Most Wanted Fugitives Captured in Recent Arrests

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced the recent capture of three individuals from the state’s 10 Most Wanted list.

Christopher Joshua Garay , 35, was arrested on November 29, 2024, in San Antonio. Garay, who had been wanted since January 2024 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, was located following a tip and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, DPS Special Agents, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Office of the Inspector General (TDCJ OIG). Garay had previously been convicted of five counts of aggravated robbery and had been released on parole in 2018. A parole warrant had been issued for him in February 2024.

Johnny Leon Wilson , 54, was captured on December 2, 2024, in Grand Prairie. Wilson, wanted for murder since February 2023, was apprehended after authorities followed up on a tip. He had been arrested in 2019 for the murder but bonded out with an ankle monitor, which he later damaged or removed. Wilson was arrested by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, along with assistance from various local police departments and TDCJ OIG.
