Waco, Tx ( FOX 44 ) – A 25-year-old man who was tracked down and arrested in Arlington has been indicted in the shooting death of a man killed near a Waco club last February.
A McLennan County Grand Jury Thursday handed down the murder indictment naming Amani Gibson in connection with the death of 38-year-old Winfred Talley, Jr.
It was about 3:01 a.m. on February 24th that Waco police were called to the 600 block of Ruby Avenue on a shooting and found a 19-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital. While police were there, they learned that a second woman who was 18 years old, along with a 38-year-old man had been taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Both women recovered, but the man, identified as Winfred Talley, Jr., died. The shooting was reported to have occurred during an altercation between multiple people in the parking lot of a club at that location. Police said there had been a disturbance inside the club earlier.
