On February 26, 2025, the Cockrell Hill Police Department arrested Brian Turner, a fugitive wanted on 17 outstanding felony warrants across multiple Texas counties for theft-related offenses and organized retail theft.
Turner had been targeting Home Depot stores throughout the DFW metroplex, stealing high-value merchandise. Working with Dallas PD and Home Depot’s asset protection team, Cockrell Hill officers tracked him to a Walmart parking lot in Dallas, where he attempted to use a false identity before being positively identified and taken into custody.
During the arrest, officers recovered $2,158 worth of stolen flooring materials, which were returned to Home Depot. Turner was taken to Methodist Hospital for medical clearance before being booked into Dallas County Jail…
