AUSTIN, Texas — Texas lawmakers are considering a bill that would require public state universities to report students and staff accused of supporting terroristic activities to the federal government.

Critics of Senate Bill 2233 argue it would turn schools into immigration enforcement agencies and punish Texans over free speech.
