Health Alert in Tarrant County: Potential Measles Exposure Sites in Arlington Identified Amid Texas Outbreak

As measles cases surge in Texas, Tarrant County officials have issued a new health alert warning of potential exposures in Arlington. The contagious viral infection has been primarily located in West Texas, but North Central Texas is also on alert.

Though no confirmed measles cases have been reported in Tarrant County as of Tuesday, Tarrant County Public Health pinpointed specific locations where contagious individuals have visited. According to the notice, those places include Texas Live!, 1650 E. Randol Mill Road, and Globe Life Field, 734 Stadium Drive, on April 19.

To curb the spread, Tarrant County Public Health advises unvaccinated individuals, especially pregnant women and the immunocompromised, to contact health care providers if they visited the cited Arlington locations on the said date. Symptoms of measles manifest as a high fever, cough, runny nose, or red eyes, followed by a distinct rash that begins at the hairline and travels down the body.
