Longtime North Texas burger restaurant catches fire, officials say

FORT WORTH, Texas — A longtime Fort Worth burger joint caught fire early Friday morning, officials said.

Numerous crews responded around 5:15 a.m. to Tommy’s Hamburger Grill in the 5200 block of Camp Bowie Boulevard in West Fort Worth, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.

Officials said crews arrived to find light smoke and fire coming from a vent on the roof of Tommy’s. Crews declared it a working and got it under control, according to a statement from officials shortly after 6 a.m…
