North Texas man sentenced to 4 years for distributing $64K worth of fentanyl, officials say

RICHARDSON, Texas — A fentanyl dealer in North Texas was sentenced to more than four years in federal prison for his role in distributing over $64,000 worth of fentanyl, according to federal officials.

The DOJ said Donald Derrell Slay, Jr., 31, of Richardson, was sentenced to 51 months for conspiring to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl. According to court filings, from late 2022 into early 2023, Slay and two others, Hakeem Aziz Wiley and Richard Daniel Gomez, both of whom are also from North Texas, sold fentanyl to undercover officers on multiple occasions in the Dallas area.
