Severe weather occurred yesterday evening west of Fort Worth and in Wise, Denton and Collin counties. A similar scenario is expected to unfold later this afternoon through the evening hours, primarily along and north of Interstate 20 and east of Highway 281. A 40% coverage area is anticipated for strong to severe storms.
Good morning. Welcome back to work. Following a stormy night, more storms are expected later this afternoon through the evening hours, with all modes of severe weather possible. A watch will likely be issued for the northern half of North Texas, mainly along and north of Interstate 20, late this afternoon and evening. The timeframe to watch is between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. across the DFW, although many areas will not experience rainfall. These storms will not be widespread, instead being few and far between. Currently, the worst of the weather appears to be in the eastern half of Oklahoma, with a level four out of five moderate chance for severe weather development.
