Last week, Yelp released a list of the top 50 doughnut shops in the country. These aren’t your hole-in-the-wall neighborhood stops on the way to work. To earn a place on Yelp’s list, a shop has to operate with some sort of doughnut extravagance or creativity.
Yelp releases lists like these annually, covering hundreds of different topics. For 2025’s “Top 50 Donut Shops in the US,” the website pulled from reviews by “Yelp Elites,” an application-based club of frequent and verifiable Yelp users.
Two doughnut shops in North Texas were included in the top 50, alongside a third Texas storefront in Round Rock. On 2023’s top 100 list, Twinkle Donuts in the Colony and A&H Donuts were included, but didn’t make this year’s Elite top 50 list.
