DALLAS — Atmos customers in Dallas should soon see an increase to their monthly gas bills, pending a vote by the city council on Wednesday.
The Dallas City Council is expected to approve a rate increase of 8%, equating to $7.83 on average per month for residential customers, and up to 2.46% (average of $12.19 per month) for commercial bills.
This increase is less than what Atmos initially wanted. In January, Atmos filed a request for an increase of annual revenue of $31.4 million in base rates from within the City of Dallas.
