No wheels, no panic. Pilots recount perfect emergency landing in Arlington last week.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The skies were blue. The runway, clear. But beneath a twin-engine Cessna that hadn’t been flown for 25 years, something was missing last Thursday at Arlington Municipal Airport — and it wasn’t good.

“When we put the gear down, we got a loud bang,” said former airline pilot and air-traffic controller Tony Williams, who has been flying for 39 years.

That bang meant only one thing: the left landing gear wasn’t coming down…
