FORT WORTH, Texas — FedEx is laying off hundreds at a facility in North Texas, a WARN notice filed with the state shows.
FedEx confirmed 305 (or about 52%) of the approximately 580 employees who work at the FedEx Supply Chain Logistics and Electronics facility at 13500 Independence Parkway will be laid off in a WARN notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission.
FedEx said the layoffs will happen between July 6 and Oct. 25, according to the notice. The layoffs are coming after a FedEx customer decided to move part of its business to a new location that will be managed by a new third-party logistics provider, according to the notice.
