Gunfire shatters peace in Fort Worth neighborhood, as investigators look for the shooters

FORT WORTH, Texas — A series of gunshots jolted residents of the Rolling Meadows East subdivision in North Fort Worth Wednesday morning.

The gunfire happened just after 4 a.m. in the 13100 block of Palacar Drive. Fort Worth police responded in less than a minute, as they were already nearby on an unrelated call.

“I heard — it sounded like about seven to eight shots in quick succession,” said Johnathan Williams, a resident of the neighborhood. “But it sounded like it was indoors.”…
