Fort Worth Invites Families and Furry Friends to Free ‘Dog Man’ Movie Night at Trinity Park Playground

Fort Worth residents, it’s time to grab your blankets and your furry friends for a cinematic experience in the great outdoors. The city’s Movie in the Park night is all set to screen the animated family film “Dog Man,” and the best part? It’s free of charge. Families (and their leashed pups) are invited to gather at Trinity Park Playground on June 7th, as described in an announcement from the City of Fort Worth’s official news release.

The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m., with the movie rolling at 6:30 p.m. sharp. “Dog Man” isn’t just a movie title, it’s also the name of the half-canine, half-police officer hero who’s got the wit of a dog and the badge of a man. Attendees can also engage in some pre-show entertainment designed for kids, which starts an hour prior to the movie, but let’s not forget, concession stands and food trucks will also be part of the mix.

Based on Dav Pilkey’s popular graphic novels, “Dog Man” tells the tale of a dog and his human cop owner who, after a bizarre surgery, are fused, creating a single entity dedicated to fighting crime. This brings Dog Man into confrontation with Petey the Cat, an adorable yet scheming villain. With Petey’s wee kitten in trouble, the sworn enemies must unite, solidifying the film’s underlying message about the strength of family ties…
