North Texas man celebrates 60 years on the job, with no plans to slow down

DALLAS — Ask anyone at Standard Aero in Irving, a company that repairs airplane engines, and they’ll tell you, they don’t make them like they used to.

But inside, they’ve got one that defies explanation, whose engine operates at full speed, and after 60 years, still works.
