Two sentenced for transporting meth from Texas to Missouri

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Two men have been sentenced in federal court for transporting eight kilograms of meth from Dallas to the Joplin area.

Juan Alvarado-Alvarado, 45, a Mexican national, received 192 months in prison and five years of supervised release. He has two prior felony convictions for illegal reentry into the U.S. after removal.

Jesus Sanchez, 34, of Joplin, was sentenced to 132 months and five years of supervised release.
