A significant discovery unfolded at Lake Cliff Park on Thursday, as Dallas police divers uncovered at least 10 vehicles submerged in the park’s pond. The operation, which commenced in the afternoon, led to the recovery of four cars by 5 p.m., with efforts to retrieve the remaining vehicles set to continue into Friday.
The Dallas Police Department’s Underwater Recovery Team, in collaboration with Dallas Fire-Rescue and other city agencies, spearheaded the recovery mission. The area around Baylock Drive and Sabine Street was cordoned off, and a mobile crime scene unit was stationed nearby.
The discovery has prompted questions about the origins and circumstances leading to the vehicles’ submersion.
