Fort Worth prepares to welcome a new face to its City Council this Tuesday as Dr. Mia Hall is set to take her oath as councilmember for District 6. Hall, a seasoned educator with over two decades of experience, will be sworn in at a special canvassing meeting at City Hall Council Chamber, situated at 100 Fort Worth Trail, from 5 to 6 p.m. The ceremony will immediately precede the public comment meeting, according to the City of Fort Worth.
Hall’s victory came in the aftermath of the June 7 runoff election, securing her a coveted seat on the council. Currently serving as the executive director of strategic recruitment at Fort Worth ISD, Hall’s resume extends to various leadership positions. She’s a standing member on the board of directors for United Way of Tarrant County, and she has also volunteered her time and wisdom to organizations such as Girls Inc. of Tarrant County and the City of Fort Worth Zoning Commission…
