South Dallas Gains a New BBQ Joint With Huge Stuffed Smoked Turkey Legs and House Made Sauces

Hump’s BBQ is now open at 2503 W. Pioneer Parkway in Pantego, taking over the longtime home of Jambo’s BBQ. For nearly 45 years, this wood-paneled space has been known for brisket, ribs, and Texas-sized portions, and Hump’s is keeping that tradition alive with its own soulful spin.

Owner Antoinne Ivory, a real estate broker-turned-barbecue pitmaster and gourmet sauce maker, relocated Hump’s after a fire destroyed his original South Dallas location.

Ivory’s menu mixes down-home classics with bold, creative twists. Guests will find soft, smoky brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and half-chickens, but the showstopper might be the giant turkey legs stuffed with mac and cheese, Cajun pasta, smoked sausage, or greens and filthy rice…
