An Irving man was arrested Tuesday, June 17th, following a domestic incident where he allegedly assaulted his pregnant partner. Michael Dwayne Ross, 31, faces a third-degree felony charge of Assault of a Pregnant Person.
Irving Police officers responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex on the 1900 block of Estrada Parkway in West Irving. Upon arrival, they spoke with the victim, who is pregnant and stated she has been in a six-year dating relationship with Ross, with whom she shares a child. They live together at the apartment.
The victim told officers that during an argument over cell phone privacy, Ross abruptly and repeatedly opened the front door, causing it to strike her lower back. She stated the physical contact was offensive and caused her severe physical pain, leading her to believe she was experiencing contractions. The police report did not specify how far along she is in her pregnancy. Ross denied the incident.…
