Texas man arrested after fleeing from officers

On Tuesday night at approximately 6:30, a Love County deputy observed the driver of a vehicle with Texas plates fail to stop at a stop sign in Marietta. When he attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver fled, leading law enforcement officers on a chase that lasted a little more than 10 minutes.

The driver, Traanthony Jerome Ford-Lyles, 32, of Fort Worth, Texas, stopped near Marietta Public Schools where officers had deployed stop sticks. The driver was soon removed from the vehicle, which was reported stolen earlier in the day from Wichita Falls, Texas.

Ford-Lyles, a convicted felon, was discovered to be in possession of a loaded firearm along with an assortment of knives and Samurai swords…
