Haltom City’s landscape is transforming as a landmark building makes way for a new neighborhood development.
The G.W. Haltom Mansion at 4100 Denton Highway has been sold to a developer who plans to transform the land into 40 traditional single-family homes, according to the city.
G.W. Haltom built the house between 1930 and 1936 and owned a ranch in what is now Haltom City and a jewelry store in Fort Worth, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram archives.
Haltom City’s future
Haltom City is experiencing significant growth, with over 3,500 new residential units under construction or recently completed since 2018 and more than 40 restaurants being built, according to the city.
