DALLAS, TX — A suspect has been arrested in connection with the February 2025 shooting death of 61-year-old Malcolm Caraway, who was found fatally wounded in the yard of his Berwick Avenue home.
Dallas Police announced Friday the arrest of 46-year-old Kendrick Davis, the nephew of the victim. Caraway was discovered unresponsive on February 4 with a single gunshot wound to the side of his chest. A neighbor who found the victim told police about an ongoing dispute between Caraway and Davis, who lived at the same address.
According to an arrest affidavit, the neighbor stated Caraway had been fearful of Davis and had purchased a revolver for self-protection. Days before the shooting, Caraway reported the gun missing and suspected Davis of taking it.
