Fort Worth’s food scene will gain a new soul food concept called Johnny’s Chicken & Waffles, bringing crave-worthy, comfort food to 2707 Race St. #117. The official grand opening is July 22.
Created by reality TV star Crystal Smith with her ex-husband and R&B artist Ne-Yo, and Karlie Redd of Love & Hip Hop fame, Johnny’s first began in the Atlanta area in 2020. After a successful Dallas debut in 2024, Fort Worth became the next city to plant a new restaurant.
Johnny’s puts a modern spin on the popular dish made with crispy and juicy fried chicken paired with fluffy and golden waffles.
