Just after midnight on Monday, a lone gunman struck in southeast Dallas, leaving one man dead and a neighborhood rattled. The first 911 call came in at approximately 12:10 a.m., reporting shots fired in the 100 block of Pemberton Hill Road. Officers arrived within minutes to find a vehicle parked in the roadside grass, its driver bleeding profusely inside the cabin — a chilling scene that unfolded under the dim glow of a lone streetlamp.
According to the Dallas Police Department’s official blog, “Homicide at 100 Pemberton Hill Road,” officers determined that an unknown suspect fired multiple shots through the driver’s-side window.
