One neighborhood near TCU evolved from fields to a vibrant community credited to university expansion. The Fairmount area got its start in the late 1800s. Race Street, once declining, now thrives. And Butler Place received formal historic status as plans move forward to preserve the legacy of Fort Worth’s last public housing complex.
