Fort Worth ISD ready to enforce student cellphone ban on first day of school

Fort Worth school administrators must have teachers’ backs when they begin enforcing the state’s cellphone ban, the leader of an educator group urged trustees.

The school board July 22 approved new rules aligning the district with the state’s student device ban law. The policies go into effect Aug. 12, the first day of school.
