There was some rain over North Texas Saturday afternoon. Across the metroplex, a few won the rain lottery; there was only about 30% coverage.
Flood advisories were issued in our northeast counties from slow-moving storms dropping 2″-3″ of rain. Meanwhile, the heat advisory that triggered our First Alert Weather Day ends at 9 p.m., though rain-cooled air over the metroplex removed the heat danger in the late afternoon hours.
DFW logged the two hottest days of the year so far to close the work week.
