Dallas still waiting for first 100° day of summer – that’s unusually late

As of late July 2025, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport hasn’t officially reached 100°F yet – a rarity this late into summer. According to the National Weather Service, the region usually hits that milestone by July 1, but this year’s scorcher is running well behind schedule.

The highest temperature recorded so far is 99°F, narrowly missing the century mark – despite forecasts repeatedly predicting triple-digit heat earlier this month.

In most years, 20 or more days exceed 100°F, but in 2025, that number currently sits at zero…
