Council on Criminal Justice data shows violent crimes decline in North Texas cities

Homicide and other violent crimes are continuing to decline in the first half of the year, according to a study from the Council on Criminal Justice, a nonpartisan think tank.

The study analyzes patterns of different crimes — including violent crime, property crime and drug offenses — and includes major cities in North Texas like Arlington, Dallas and Fort Worth.
