DALLAS, Texas — A suspect was shot by police after a confrontation in a parking lot on Finnell Street early July 27, 2025, according to the Dallas Police Department. The incident began when officers, working off-duty, heard a gunshot and discovered a suspect and victim fighting.
The suspect, armed with a gun, ignored officers’ commands and attempted to flee. Additional officers confronted him, and after repeated commands to drop the weapon, an officer fired, hitting the suspect. Emergency medical treatment was administered on-site before the suspect was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the face and was treated at the scene. No officers were injured during the incident…
