Fort Worth, Texas – Back-to-back storm systems could disrupt weekend plans across North Texas, with localized flooding, frequent lightning, and strong winds expected through early Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, the first storm complex is set to move southeast into the area tonight into Sunday morning, followed by a second round Sunday night into Monday. While severe storms are unlikely, forecasters caution that an isolated severe wind gust can’t be ruled out during the late Sunday event.
Scattered storms are expected near Graham and Sherman, with isolated activity further south toward Waco and Killeen. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex lies within the zone for both storm periods, increasing the likelihood of multiple impacts.
