A traffic stop in DeSoto has led to the recovery of drugs and a stolen firearm. During a routine traffic check for expired vehicle registration on a black Chevy Camaro, police detected a strong odor of marijuana on Monday at about 9:10 p.m. The ensuing probable cause search of the car resulted in finding marijuana, a THC vape pen, and a stolen handgun concealed under a blanket in the backseat, according to the DeSoto Police Department.
