BEDFORD, Texas — A Tarrant County jury has sentenced 31-year-old Caleb Rothlis of Haslet to 25 years in prison after finding him guilty of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on July 21, 2025.
The charges stem from a prolonged four-day assault during which Rothlis strangled, bit, punched, and kicked a woman inside her Bedford home, resulting in broken ribs and injuries to her neck, arms, hands, and back. He also threatened to kill her.
Rothlis, who has a prior felony conviction for Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle following a robbery, was arrested by the Bedford Police Department on November 27, 2024.
