When he first arrived in Dallas, police chief Daniel Comeaux promised to speed response times. Now, more than three months later, new data reviewed by NBC Investigates showed that in parts of the city, police responded slightly faster in July 2025 compared to July of 2024.
However, citywide police are still missing their own targets for responses – and in some southern Dallas neighborhoods people now wait longer for help compared to a year ago.
