H-E-B’s grand opening for its ninth store in Dallas-Fort Worth is this week

H-E-B, which recently announced plans to build its second Fort Worth location, has a grand opening planned this week for its ninth grocery store in the Metroplex.

The 132,000-square-foot H-E-B with a True Texas BBQ restaurant opens Wednesday in Prosper, a city in Collin County north of Dallas. The location is 2145 W. Frontier Parkway, near the Dallas North Tollway.

The Prosper store opens at 6 a.m.

H-E-B’s expansion in North Texas

Texas-based H-E-B has opened eight locations in the Metroplex in the past few years. Fort Worth got its first H-E-B in spring 2024 in Alliance. Last month, H-E-B revealed plans to build a store in far west Fort Worth, just over the Parker County line in a fast-growing area called Walsh.
