AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced the arrest of Jose Antonio Marquina-Bonilla, a fugitive from the state’s 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List, in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The 33-year-old from Honduras was apprehended on Sunday, August 3, near an apartment complex in Northwest Dallas.
Marquina-Bonilla, who had been wanted by the Grapevine Police Department since June 2025 for continuous sexual abuse of a young child, was taken into custody following a traffic stop. The arrest was a coordinated effort involving DPS Criminal Investigations Division Special Agents, Grapevine Police Department Detectives, and Dallas Police Department Officers, according to a press release from DPS.
Previously, Marquina-Bonilla was deported from the United States in 2016 after being encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Arizona. He was arrested again in October 2023 by the Grapevine Police Department for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, convicted, and subsequently deported to Honduras by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement the following month.
