Fort Worth Resident Charged After Traffic Stop Escalates on US 287 in Ellis County

A traffic infraction on US 287 led to a tussle and an arrest, Ellis County officials report. The incident unfolded last Friday near Black Champ Road when a red GMC pickup truck committed a traffic violation, prompting a Texas State Trooper to initiate a stop, as detailed by the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office in a social media post.

After attempting to stop, the passenger of the vehicle jumped out, escaping on foot, while the driver, later identified as Jose Molina, a 28-year-old Fort Worth resident, was engaged in a physical confrontation with the Trooper resulting in the officer’s minor injuries, the Trooper, despite this succeeded in detaining Molina; the DPS confirmed Molina is now facing charges for evading arrest in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana, he’s been booked into the Ellis County Jail as per the Texas Department of Public Safety’s official statement…
