ARLINGTON, Texas — According to hunger relief network Feeding America, Texas leads the nation in food insecurity, with more than 5 million families facing hunger. According to the group, 1.4 million Texans are food insecure, representing over 17% of the state and the largest number of individuals in the country.
In Tarrant County, which includes Fort Worth and Arlington, the network reports that 1 in 5 households are battling hunger.
