DESOTO, Texas — In the early morning hours of August 17, at approximately 2:20 a.m., DeSoto Police Delta Shift officers on routine patrol along the 1700 N. IH-35E frontage road encountered suspicious activity involving a dark gray Mercedes with two occupants in a hotel parking lot.
The vehicle was parked near what appeared to be a burglarized car. When officers attempted to stop the Mercedes, the driver sped away at a high rate of speed heading north into Dallas, prompting a pursuit.
The chase ended at an apartment complex in the 3100 block of West Pentagon Parkway, where the suspects abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. The driver escaped capture, but the passenger, identified as 20-year-old Brandon Finch of Dallas, was apprehended…
