JOHNSON COUNTY, Texas — When longtime Johnson County Attorney Christopher Cooke heard the allegations against Sheriff Adam King, it meant taking on a case against a friend.
“At some point in time, you have to put friendship aside and do the right thing,” Cooke said. “I was personally shocked to hear of the allegations. He’s been a prominent figure in the county for a long time.”
