North Texas man sentenced to six decades for child exploitation crimes

FORT WORTH, Texas — A North Texas man who produced sexually explicit photos of two children in Fort Worth was sentenced to 60 years in prison, federal authorities announced.

Scott Wayne O’Toole, 60, pleaded guilty in April 2025 to two counts of sexual exploitation of children. On August 28, a federal judge sentenced O’Toole to 360 months per count, totaling 720 months behind bars.

Authorities in Alaska began investigating O’Toole in December 2024 after a USB drive containing child sexual abuse material was found at a hotel where he was staying while on a temporary duty assignment as a school bus driver, according to court documents.
