Suspect in Armed Robbery Apprehended in Fort Worth After Police Chase

ARLINGTON — An armed robbery that took place in Arlington on Sunday, September 14, concluded with a police chase and crash in Fort Worth, resulting in the arrest of a 19-year-old male suspect.

Arlington police officers were called to an apartment complex in the 3300 block of Cypresswood Trail at approximately 5:15 p.m. following a report of an armed robbery. The 22-year-old victim informed police that he had been meeting a friend at the complex when multiple suspects stole money from him at gunpoint before fleeing the scene in a black Jeep Cherokee.

The victim’s detailed description of the vehicle was critical. Officers later located the Jeep traveling west on Interstate 30. When police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver failed to yield, leading officers on a brief pursuit that crossed into Fort Worth.
