IRVING, TX – A traffic stop in North Irving escalated into a pursuit Friday night, ultimately leading to the arrest of a man wanted on a parole violation related to a child injury conviction.
On September 26, 2025, an Irving Police officer observed a vehicle run a red light. When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver accelerated and tried to flee. Additional officers joined the pursuit and were able to force the vehicle to a stop.
The driver resisted arrest but was eventually handcuffed and identified as 37-year-old Garnett Eugene Freeman II of Irving, who resides at an apartment on Polaris Drive.
