Irving Police Arrest Man After Pursuit; Suspect Wanted on Parole Violation for Child Injury Case

IRVING, TX – A traffic stop in North Irving escalated into a pursuit Friday night, ultimately leading to the arrest of a man wanted on a parole violation related to a child injury conviction.

On September 26, 2025, an Irving Police officer observed a vehicle run a red light. When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver accelerated and tried to flee. Additional officers joined the pursuit and were able to force the vehicle to a stop.

The driver resisted arrest but was eventually handcuffed and identified as 37-year-old Garnett Eugene Freeman II of Irving, who resides at an apartment on Polaris Drive. Police say Freeman was found to be driving with an invalid license, no insurance, and in possession of under two ounces of marijuana…
