Denton Couple Charged with Murder Following Fatal Shooting Stemming from Parking Dispute

Denton police have apprehended a man and woman following a deadly shooting that took place overnight, according to a report. Authorities responded to a 911 call just before 1 a.m., where they discovered an adult male with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident, which erupted from a dispute over a trivial matter of right-of-way in a parking lot at the 300 block of W. Eagle Drive, quickly escalated into violence. Witnesses at the scene informed police that the two suspects had fled in a vehicle, which was stopped by officers in the 1400 block of W. University Drive. In the course of the traffic stop, one man, identified as Alfred Jackson Jr., attempted to evade law enforcement but was shortly apprehended. The woman, Olivia Guster, was detained at the scene.

As detectives pieced the incident together, they found that Jackson had attacked the victim’s friend with a shovel, and Guster had participated in the assault. The investigation revealed that following the assault, Jackson shot the victim and aimed his weapon at the victim’s friend.
