Walmart received initial approval to install solar panels that will be arranged in the company’s logo on the roof of a store near AT&T Stadium.
The Arlington Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a zoning revision Sept. 24 that advances Walmart’s request to install the panels in the design of its “Spark” logo, which would be visible from air.
Store officials said it’s the first such solar array the company will install in the state and, along with helping the company’s zero-emissions goal, it is a symbol of Walmart’s pride in the Arlington location near the stadium ahead of the FIFA World Cup games in 2026…
