In the early morning darkness, DeSoto Police officers on patrol disrupted a car burglary in progress, leading to a foot chase and an arrest, the department detailed through a social media post. Last Friday at 3:30 AM, officers were surveying the parking lot of a local hotel on N. IH-35E Service Road when they spotted 38-year-old Christopher Ray Hinchliffe inside a vehicle with its alarm sounding, according to the DeSoto Police Department.
