Irving Police Capture Two After Late-Night Trespass Leads to Drug and Warrant Arrests

IRVING, Texas – In the early morning hours of October 9, Irving Police officers arrested two suspects following a 911 call reporting suspicious activity behind a home in South Irving.

At approximately 1:09 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 11th Street after a resident reported hearing noises in his backyard. When he went to look, he saw someone jump the fence into a neighboring vacant property on the backside of the property.

As officers surrounded the vacant home, two individuals emerged from the back door. When officers identified themselves, one suspect, 23-year-old Kimberly Gonzalez-Monsivais, attempted to run before stopping and being taken into custody. During the arrest, officers recovered her purse, which contained 37 pills identified as Oxycodone and Xanax. Gonzalez-Monsivais was charged with Criminal Trespass of a Habitation, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B (1–4 grams), Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 (under 28 grams), and Evading Arrest or Detention…
